Once again, I'm quite impressed. Not Sondheim's best work, but it's still very rich and highly recommended. What starts out as a seemingly simple and cliche musical (or operatic) plot, slowly turns into a surprisingly complex and rewarding meditation on the varying natures of what we think of as love.
