The holidays are finally coming to a close, thankfully. My gears have stopped turning for long enough.
Haven't been a very dedicated blogger these days, have I? I'll just do a quick recount of what I did & where I went the past few days for keepsake:
Saturday (22/01)
Went for church in the evening, and then dinner with the cell group at EastPoint's Banquet. Ailin officially gave the word "bimbo" a whole new meaning (yet again) with her ridiculous antics & hilarious puns. She even mistook lontong for the name of a dessert. There's more, but my brain isn't cooperating with me at the moment, so we'll make do with just that.
Sunday (23/01)
Had a reunion dinner with my maternal relatives in the evening at my cousin's place. The steamboat meal was still as delicious as ever. Half of my relatives didn't turn up, and just when I thought that was the worst the situation would go, that half even requested for my grandma to buy them dinner on her way back home.
Why can't they just make an effort to show up? Way to go for dampening the festive spirit even before the actual season begins. Excuse me while I try my best to feign ignorance.
Monday (24/01)
Spent the afternoon with Rashid around Tampines. Accompanied him as he bought his soccer ball, and he did the same as I shopped for New Year clothes (didn't get anything in the end). Went to get KOI bubble tea upon his suggestion, and I have to say that it still isn't worth the hype (it was my third time trying it). Perhaps I'm also to blame since I'm not some sort of bubble tea connoisseur & hence will not be able to identify the "distinct" Taiwanese flavour in the drinks they sell. It tasted like ordinary bubble tea to me, though I would group it under a higher class in comparison to the other bubble tea shops in Singapore. But that's it. It was neither extraordinary nor the best; neither ichiban nor daebak.
Chilled out together for quite a while at the open plaza in Tampines Mall before going home.
Finally, I'm on to what happened today. Went out in the morning for a soccer game with my ex-classmates. Much to my surprise, I was the earliest of them all. Usually I'm the late one, and I used to even delay outings by half an hour. Anyway, we played in this street soccer court at Simei. Would rather not reveal so much about my *ahem* skills, but I really have to complain about today's weather. It was just horrible. First, it was perfectly sunny with no indication of incoming rain. The next second? A heavy shower started pouring & made the entire court slippery. Following that, the rain stopped abruptly & it turned sunny again. Then it rained again while I was on my way home!
After the game, we went to have lunch. Curry yong tau foo's awesome. Accompanied Rashid along with Cherie & Winifred to Pasir Ris library after lunch before going home.
OK, the recount's complete. It seems as if I'm blogging for the sake of it, hahaha. Excuse me while I do some stretches of accomplishment.
