Take "today" as January 19.

I bumped into a considerable number of acquaintances in between the journeys that I took today. It's just another of those days when I'm reminded that the world is so small after all. I'm guessing it's also some sort of a message; a message that reminds me to never focus on starting new relationships at the expense of building on existing ones.

Hui Yen called me out for a badminton game this afternoon, and so I got my rackets and hit the courts. Played the game with a few others, too, notably Cliff, Christon & Yi Ren. Broke out nothing more than a mild sweat at the end of the 4-hour long game, probably because I lost the motivation to play seriously halfway through, when our session in the court ended and we had to shift outdoors.

Got blisters on my right hand after the game, because the grip on my racket has already worn out. Really need to remind my dad to get a new one, lest he gets his hand hurt, too. I'm guessing he uses protection, actually. The racket's been damaged for so long already.

Headed to NEX Serangoon after the game, where Shanggei met us. Hui Yen got her new pair of glasses and we kinda camwhored with it during the train ride there.

Gotta get used to this look of hers from now on.
Had Sarawak Kolo mee for dinner there; The meal was delicious; have always loved Sarawak noodles, hahaha. Walked around the mall after Cliff & Christon left, and managed to find a resting spot in the Sky Garden where we talked. Tonight's weather was perfect - the wind was blowing gently and the chill was neither harsh nor weak. Would have chosen to stay there longer.

Went home with Shanggei. Sent her home first before I went my own way. Talked about things which mattered to us, and I realise that I always find mutual ground with her.

Anyway, there's a direct bus between her place and mine (thankfully), so the hassle of transport was greatly minimised on my part. Bumped into my cousin during the ride home & we managed to talk a little while walking from the bus stop. We haven't been talking in ages - I don't think it's short enough to be measured in days. Months, maybe? Perhaps even a year. I felt relieved that the conversation could pick up smoothly even after our long break from each other.

On to something more personal - I've been watching "Secret Garden", a Korean drama series recently, and I have to say that the acting, plot & music is really neat. Well, it may be a little too cheesy & perhaps even predictable, but so far it's been quite an impressive catch, and an utterly hilarious one at that. Currently at episode 10, hope I don't finish it off too quickly.

Sigh, guess tomorrow will be yet another busy day for me. Gotta get a haircut, do some CNY shopping, and catch Ailin's performance. Can't tire myself too much already.
