I'm so frustrated. So, so, so frustrated! Why can't things just flow smoothly, one at a time? There are so many issues I have to battle with everyday and I don't really have the mental strength to even start. They exist as a deep well in my head, and when the slightest opening gives way, they just come flowing out, gushing right through, attacking me head-on.

There are so many people who place much emphasis on having a very active social life. Well then, I'd be glad to switch lives with them, even if it's for just a week. I really can't stand not having much space for myself anymore. For the first time, I feel that fun has its limits. I'm not saying that I find hanging out with my friends and engaging in social gatherings a burden. In fact, I enjoy them. I enjoy the company, the activities, the outings. However, as I sink deeper into my social life, commitments arise and responsibilities surface. And often, I find them coming to me all at once; all at the same time. It's just too much for me to shoulder.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't such an insensitive, lazy bum. If I weren't one, I may be able to better fit into others' shoes. I'll be able to better see things from a different perspective, in a new light. I wouldn't always be making self-directed choices. I would be willing to go the extra mile for someone else and not just myself, you know?

In this path I'm treading on now, I hope a situation or a person can just step in a throw me a diversion. Anything that would make me realise I should start tackling these issues because I've put it off a long time ago.

On a lighter note, I celebrated Jia Hui's birthday with the cell group at Daryl's place yesterday. The party was pretty fun, I guess. The steamboat lunch was a success on my end - the soup was delicious, having been stuffed with a variety of ingredients and all. The feminine theme which the organisers wanted to achieve wasn't very apparent in the party but as long as everybody's having fun I'm guessing it's alright. Also, although the cell group didn't take part in a lot of activities as one, I hope Jia Hui had her fair share of fun. After all, she was the birthday girl. ;)

Hmm... let me recall what I did. I guess I pretty much just ate, took photos, ate again, took more photos, sang the birthday song, played Wii games, caught up with the members... things one usually does at a party, hahaha.

Photos will be up soon, I guess? I always say that but I'll end up too lazy to edit and re-upload them on this journal eventually. ;_;
