I'm starting to feel myself willingly and consciously heading in a specific life-direction. Of the courses taken this and last semester, I can see what interests me and what doesn't. Writing for the Gateway has kept me going strong with writing when I can't take actual courses until next year, and is one of the few reasons that I didn't re-apply to Ryerson. I think i'm going to involve myself at a deeper level next year, with the intention of developing writing skills to a point where I could become one of the Gateway editors.
There are fantastic looking courses available to me next year. They almost all revolve around either politics or writing, with some stranger ones thrown in to keep things interesting (notably, Studies in Witchcraft & the Occult. Fuck yes.). Each one of them makes me feel embarassingly giddy, although I'll look into the profs before enrolling; I learned my lesson from Linguistics 100 and the terrible teachings that ruined, RUINED that course for me.
CIG Regionals in three weeks. Ajudication is on the agenda, as is teaching a workshop, I couldn't be more excited for either one than I already am.
Fuck yes.
