I love how all the dumb white people in America are saying Obama...OBAMA...set back racism 20 years by saying the Cambridge cops acted stupidly.
Calling someone stupid set racism back 20 years? "Stupid" is not a racist term, and he was insulting WHITE PEOPLE, who have never been persecuted for their race in this country. I'm so sick of Conservatives playing victim when they have no idea what that means. How insulting.
Hmm, now what could ACTUALLY set the progress of equality back 20 years? How about...calling the cops on a black man trying to get into his own house--with his LIMO parked at the curb--and then having him actually get arrested after showing two forms of ID and his KEYS?! I'd say that's about 20 years of civil rights work right there.
And the people who are saying this couldn't give two shits about the progress of equal rights; they all have just been waiting for Obama to do something "black" and fuck up so they would feel like they were right about him all along. They're just disguising their personal racism as outrage over all the progress we've made towards equality--though I'm sure none of them voted for our first black president.
I can hear them: "See? As soon as something like this comes up, his true feelings come out."
So do yours! Look what you're doing! You're sticking up for the white cops; why shouldn't Obama feel some sort of personal aggravation over what happened to the African-American in the situation?
