you can chop up songs in audacity, cut 'em down to ringtone length and then transfer them over in one way or another, perhaps by bluetooth or by horseback or in the dead of night squirreled away in the depths of your knapsack where you just pray it won't ever be found not until it makes it safely to its destination, till it's nestled cozily within your cellular telephone just waiting to spring forth once more. just waiting for a signal, when it will leap up and tell you, it will sing out and let you know, "this! this is a telephone call. look! listen! someone would speak with you!" or perhaps, "a message composed purely of text has arrived, that you must read to comprehend, for listening alone will do nothing for you, this is the domain of the educated and literate souls and i but pray you are among that blessed class" -- this or perhaps by transfer to a card of memories or some other dark magic to transport that snippet of sound into its electronic cradle
