So, Watchmen.
Good movie, but I really didn't like a lot of the changes Snyder made.
- PSYCHIC DEATH SQUID. Adrian wanting to duplicate Jon's powers was just meh.
- Janey Slater should not have been at Jon's meltdown. And a sidenote, what the fuck is with no one smoking aside from Comedian's cigars? Totally ruined Laurie's flamethrower fuck-up and Janey's Lung Cancer.
- NOT ENOUGH OLD/YOUNG BERNIE.
- No Hira Manish and Max Shea working on Psychic Death Squid. Could have made them into scientists working on the Manhattan Bombs, but noooo...
- Could it have killed them to get the original songs? I mean I love Jimi's All Along with Watchtower, but the book uses the Dylan version. You're My Thrill by Billie Holiday during the Nite Owl/Silk Spectre sex scene was sorely missed.
- Whatever happened to Snyder wanting to film every single scene in the book? Budget and/or extended director's cut, sure, but still.
- Hollis Mason's murder and Rorschach going back to his apartment to get his bloodstained clothes were also missed.
But eh, it's got the general feel right. I felt it dragged on too long, though. I really think Watchmen would have been suited better as a TV Miniseries or something similar.
Also, I have a cold. Sore Throat kinda indicated that, but meh.
And yeah, back. Didn't get to go to Six Flags, but I don't care.
Finally beat SFIV with every character and unlocked everyone, though.
Kind of depressed, but then again, that's all the time these days. Sigh.
