Bobby, you're asking me to ask a guy that I see every single day, work with, whose apartment I crash at sometimes to let a guy who calls him a prick on his own forums and every other name imaginable to let him begin posting on forums that he owns.
I can't do that, I'm not gonna shit where I eat, and if you're still upset it's because you shat where I eat. I remember when Billionaire came out and you posted on my board "IT'S JUST STORIES FROM HIS LIVEJOURNAL" (which it is, plus about 50 pages that tie them together) which probably cost me at least a few sales. I was pretty slighted about that, and it's reckless things like those that end up causing more damage than any possible positive effects of posting on the board.
I love you man but you've gotta let this go. If you want to communicate with me you can call me or email me (when I'm not in the middle of some ooh la la). The way the situation is, the damage between you and Rich can't be repaired. You're both my friends, but this is just the way it's gonna have to be if it's every going to improve.
I dunno, Jeff. I re-read the entry and I'm pretty sure he DIDN'T ask you that. He was just, as I said, griping about something over which he had no control.

It was necessary because Bob is my friend and it if he's unhappy and I'm partly responsible for his unhappiness then I need to explain what's going on (and he has complained about where I stand in the situation; I read the logs sometimes).
Your sarcastic response tells me that you don't care about this, and if the time I take to try to make my friend feel better isn't appreciated then there's nothing more I can do.
Sorry, Jeff. I guess when I interpreted your post as saying "Well, you had it coming because you're an asshole, so sack up," I missed the part where you were trying to make him feel better.
All I see is you dredging up old grievances in what's probably an attempt to make YOURSELF feel better about the situation. If you feel guilty, then deal with it. Don't try to rationalize it by demonizing Bob.
I appreciate ANY time people take to make him feel better, but as I see it, all you've done is post inflammatory, unwarranted comments that are just going to make him even more upset.
And yeah I am upset about this because everytime I say anything about this and try to mediate I just get snide disdain from people who say they support me but call me a "pushover" behind my back.
And yeah I do feel bad about it, bad that my friend can't do what he enjoyed doing because of something I'm caught in the middle of.
