Urban Wifi Wars

 Today I tried to access my public AP around my apt. I kept incessantly getting kicked off and had a poor quality connection. After doing a site survey, I discovered that there were two APs working on the same channel. I then proceeded to log into the public APs config and was able to change the channel number.

From there, a lightbulb went on... What if? Now thats just the dangerous question I needed....

1. What if I broadcasted an AP on the same channel?
2. Gave that AP the exact same SSID name as the first AP that interrupted my signal?
3. Set the same encryption settings (ie. WEP/WPA/no protection)?
4. Emulate the MAC address to that of the first router?

I am thinking that there are going to be a few confused and disgruntled neighbors.
