I couldn't let this link die in the annals of
interimlinks...
I would LOVE to see something of this scale come out of
Mind Camp... gotta do some brainstorming.
Speaking of which, M.C. organizer,
jmartenstein, informed me last night that they have around 160 people signed up so far out of 250 spots. If you haven't registered as of yet and were on the fence about going,
just go dammit.
Also from my conversation with Justin, I thought it would be a good idea as far as mixing things up and increasing awareness to specifically try and get representatives from good causes in the Seattle area to attend. Organizations like:
Seattle Works,
Home Alive, the
Vera Project,
Seattle/South King County Habitat for Humanity Other places to consider:
Decibel Festival,
The Stranger,
Seattle Dorkbot,
Jack Straw Productions,
Seattle Phonographers Union,
Seattle Outsider Artist Project I think it'd be a great opportunity to educate the community about these various organizations and get some exchange of ideas and collaboration flowing.
If you can think of any other groups I missed, let me know!
Lastly, Boards 'o Canada have a new EP/DVD coming out soon...
Life is good.
update: here's their new music video for "
Dayvan Cowboy"
