Kind of succulent, a softer Severus. But in the end he's too chewy and I spit him out in favour of the inflexible chew toy.
Really, it was a lot of fun to read.

Yeah he is somewhat OOC. At least it was a fun read! Thanks.

Hey, it was enjoyable so why not have him slightly OOC right?
And who is to say what is IC for a postwar Sev-psyche! I loved the hint of Snagonagall too.

Yea! I've seen people first-hand change after a near death experience, and I just couldn't shake that when writing.

But I'm happy that it was enjoyable :)

Nice work. For such an off-the-wall pairing, you've created an actually believable scenario for a blooming friendship! Really enjoyed reading :)

What a very interesting look at Snape. I'm no Hermione/Snape shipper, but to be sure there are many reasons why his outlook might change if he survived - not least a forced reappraisal of Harry and his friends after the events of DH. And open-minded Hermione is very credible too, if she's no longer with Ron.

I'm not saying you've converted me, but this was nicely done and food for thought.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

I'm going to babble a bit, just because... HG/SS is originally the ship that got me into the fandom, because I read an essay on Snape and fanfic and went googling, but it's become a pairing I'm more meh on these days as others have grown on me. So I actually had a challenge writing this (I'd claimed it before my feelings changed), and I didn't want to write it too shippy.

I have no idea where I am going with this, but I'm glad you enjoyed it! And thought that it was an interesting look at Snape.
