Look guys! It's me at Coachella! It was super fun. Lack of sleep being the only unfun part about it. Oh and the massive crowds and heat. But they really weren't bad. All the highlights came from Sunday. Possibly because I didn't get much sleep Friday night.
Saturday I was really excitted to see The New Amsterdams, but they were only eh. Franz Fredinand was probably the highlight of Saturday, but I was so tired we just hung out in the back instead of pushing forward. After our terrible night sleep Friday, we left Coachella early Saturday night to find the nearest WalMart and got ourselves a cheep airmatress. Best $20 ever spent. Slept so much better Saturday night.
Sunday was crazy. We got there later then Saturday and had to park way out in the middle of no where, which sucked at the end of the night. Pretty much everyone we saw Sunday was awesome. Ted Leo was great. He put a towel on his head, gotta respect that in 90-something degree heat when everyone else is trying to look cool on stage. Jamie Lidell is a great performer. Good singer too, but genuinely enertaining either way. The Editors were also really great live. I wasn't sure about The Editors (their cd has some really good songs, but the rest kinda bored me); but they were awesome live. Ditto for Art Brut. The Go! Team and Scissor Sisters were super peppy awesome, but not enough to keep me awake. Appropiately enough, Coachella ended with Good Weekend by Art Brut.
PS: I discovered ear plugs this weekend. I feel old and boring, but it made me way less grumpy cuz my ears didn't hurt. So, Yay!
