Glovemitten!

Mar 26, 2006 13:38

Now that its 80 degrees out, I finished my gloves for bike riding when it's cold in the morning. Oh well, I'm sure they will be useful next year.

Pattern: Urban Neccessities Gloves from MagKnits. I followed the pattern pretty much exactly. Except the gloves were supposed to have a diamond pattern on the back of the mitten cap. I just did them plain, which through off the decreases a bit. Actually it didn't throw them off really, I just didn't know when to do them because they were in terms of rows on the chart. I started the decreases when it said, then did the first type of decreases until I had one or two stitches between the k2togs then I switch to the other decreases.
Yarn: Patons Classic Wool Merino in That's Pink. Almost one whole skien. I really liked this yarn. And I got it with a 50% off coupon at Michael's, so it was like $3.
Needles: Size 6 DPN
Notes: The mitten caps are a little too short because I started them right above the thumb. If I were to make them again, or not be stubborn and refuse to redo it, it would add about an inch more before I started the decreases.
