Lettuce recall over Listeria fear affects 19 states, Canada Initially, True Leaf Farms of Salinas announced a recall of 90 cartons of romaine shipped to an Oregon food service distributor, which shipped the produce to Washington and Idaho. But the chief executive of Church Brothers, which markets the farm's produce, said Saturday that the recall involved nearly 2,500 cartons.
The stuff had a "use by" date of September 29th. However, don't forget that Listeria can make you ill three weeks or so after you've eaten the stuff.
Why do people keep insisting that we don't need no federal government up in our bidness? Shall we all be free to eat as much Listeria as the free market will sell us?
