I'm very proud of my sorority sisters. We were having problems earlier this semester with attendance issues, and it took a little bit of threatening and email-yelling, but they're really stepped up.
One of my sorority sister's grandmother died last week. I feel very badly I couldn't visit the shiva that Robyn was holding at their apartment, and I'm pretty sure Robyn is pissed at me now, but you can't do it all. I don't think that this particular sister reads this, but if she does I hope she knows my thoughts are with her and I send my condolences to her and her family.
Gas prices in my neighborhood rose 10 cents overnight. Literally, overnight. I drove home yesterday and when I passed the gas station prices were $2.939/10/gal. When I left for class this morning it was $3.0399/10/gal. I can't afford life. I need to buy a new sketchbook ($26), more patternpaper ($5/roll), and I have to professionally print another project (between $0.50 and $1.15/page). I need more pencil lead ($4.50 for two measley pieces), a condolence card (2.50, on average), X-acto blades ($2), rubber cement ($3), double-sided tape ($2) and by the end of the week I'll probably need to get gas (let's say it holds at 3.039/10/gal). This next week is going to cost me $81. Where the hell am I going to get $81? If there's any way possible, I'd like to avoid asking my parents for money until spring break. I'd like to not ask them then either, but by that point it will be unavoidable.
