Mmm, so good! This reminds me of that scene between Miharu and Yoite in the train car early in the series, where Miharu says he made a promise, but he can't remember who he made it to. Yoite scorns it, while Miharu flashes on his mother. Were you thinking of that, too? :)

A little, yes. SquareEnix really does love the topic of promises from what I've seen, and I do as well. But really, most of this piece has little bits that reflect on Miharu and Yoite's scene through the previous chapters, because I felt bittersweet like that.

I'm not that fond of the couple either, but yes of the hurt/comfort scenario, which is what I really wanted to show, because the whole chapter 51 is like a kick to the gut.

I like this a lot. I always want more interaction between Yukimi and Miharu, just because I think they're so interesting together. Yukimi keeping his promise to Yoite even if he doesn't completely remember it warms my heart, just as much as Miharu thinking Yoite's name and sobbing breaks it. This was nice.

Yes, I adore Yukimi for the exact same reasons, and yes. It was just such a cruel place to leave chapter 51. There was all the hurt, but I still needed the comfort, which was why I decided to write this.
