GetBackers. Ginji, Ban.
“Look at that,” Ban says all of the sudden. A pair of really cute schoolgirls have turned their back to a fountain. Ginji's eyes follow the shine of two brand-new 100 yen-coin as they fly through the air, splashing into the water before the girls go away, giggling.
It's a little scary that he knows what Ban-chan is thinking about.
“I don't know, Ban-chan... it's bad luck...”
“C'mon,” Ban grins, throwing an arm around his shoulders. “Can we have worse luck than we do now?”
The answer, as they run away from the police, is yes.
House M.D. House, Wilson, Cuddy.
He should've known Cuddyzilla was nearby when he saw Wilson's expression change to his 'I Do Mightily Care' face in less than three seconds.
“Coward!” House called as Wilson excused himself. Instead, cleavage-less Cuddy glared. Stupid sweater.
“You're still due four hours of clinic work, House. I want you to go there and work while I go and see if I can save both our jobs after your last stunt, understood?”
As she was turning away, House called. “Break a leg!”
Cuddy barely raised an eyebrow, still walking away. “That's only 'good luck' in theater.”
House grinned. “I know.”
D.Gray-man. Allen, Mana.
As he walks back with soup for his father, Allen hears the gypsy tell the ring-leader about bad omens, birds flying and some things he just doesn't understand.
He hurries his steps and looks up, almost relieved when he doesn't see any bird whatsoever. Then, a shadow flies over him and settles on top of their tent. A magpie.
His father doesn't quite manage to laugh when he tells him this, his cough still too severe. Mana still grins and ruffles his hair, giving him a wink.
“Don't you worry about that, Allen. A man makes his own luck.”
