Fascinating take on Karofsky and his dad.

I was just saying over on Television Without Pity in the Glee forum that I would love this kind of take on Paul Karofsky on the show. That he's not the cliched quiet guy who is actually a bully behind closed doors. Instead, I'd love to see him be a generally nice guy who doesn't know what's going on with his son, and is starting to notice his strange behaviors and dropping grades and is disappointed by it but doesn't know what to do about it, and that Dave Karofsky is just so terrified of disappointing his parents by being gay that his fear comes out as anger and violence toward Kurt, a kid who has shown the strength to do what Dave can't -- be open about who he is. I think that would be a really interesting thing to see on Glee, much better than if we find out Karofsky's been bullied by his father or mother or some other person in his life and it's the stereotype of the bullied becoming the bully.

So what I'm trying to say is, I like your take here in this story, and I think you presented it very well. Thanks for that! :)

And... since I seem to have no Glee icons yet, I give you Snoopy. One writer to another. *GRIN*

And I shall answer with another Snoopy!

But yes, really, you have no idea how much I hope that Paul K. is actually a nice guy who might have a bit of a distant relationship with his son -something, I think, quite common, specially with teenagers- but who loves him no matter what.

Thanks for reading!
