not recently. "ever since", as my parents have already deemed me "incorrigible". that the only thing I'll be very good at is screwing up. but what has driven me all through the years to rebel like I did was the need for me to assert myself, figure things out on my own, & make them feel that I need some understanding, too, even if by unconventional standards.

but to be honest, its this level of "integrity" that makes me adore you to no end.
perhaps we'll find that fine line that exists between self assertion and maternal/paternal respect yet.

and if so, the search for happiness is equivalent to money?
but money doesnt grow on trees so happiness cannot be found on trees?
