Hi Guys!
It has been an extremely long time since I updated LJ!
Fall semester started in end Aug and I have been very busy juggling studies and my research. The reactors which I mentioned earlier are now fully functional and I have many experiments and simulations to do... Ha... getting more geeky by the day. This semester I am taking the dept's hardest module. It is not compulsory, but it is a golden chance as it is taught by a famous prof who rarely teach. its a very difficult course, and so far, no one has gotten an A in his course yet... ha! But its a good chance to understand the fundamentals which can help propel my understanding of deeper issues in design. So its lots of head cracking time spend on studying!
On the other hand, just before the semester started, I finally mustered the courage to check out the only gay bar here in this town which is abt 15mins drive away... Wow... its so dead.. ha!! There were not many pp. The club has a small dance floor, a bar on the 1st floor and a restaurant on the 2nd floor.. Nothing happen, just small chat here and there... and I told myself i'm wasting my time there. So I won't be back there for a long time!
Btw I was watching South Park on TV recently, and there is one episode featuring Butters and his family. If u can Youtube it, watch it! In tat episode, Butter's father was apparently gay and was visiting the bathhouses in South Park, and Butters being innocent as he is, actually got in to look for his dad. And u know wat, the cartoon's portrayal of the bathhouses is very accurate! Ha... i'm sure now, one of the South Park staff/drawers, must be gay...
I heard that some of you have been to Bkk over the weekend. Wow, I hope that security was not an issue with the coup in charge. I'm sure u guys had lots of fun!
I'm very much looking forward to coming back this Dec for xmas!! hope everyone is well!
In my next post, will be an article on the Thailand coup and its link to S'pore. many of you may not be aware. I've not been following ST, but I would very much guess it won't be published.
Its quite long, but spend 5 mins to read it during lunch! its interesting to always know more perspectives.
Take care!
