Hi Guys,

Just to share with u a small frustration I have recently.. I use to have neighbors from Egypt who stay in the apartment below me. They came in Feb 06. Unfortunately even locals take other fellow Singaporeans for a ride. Three so-called "friends" I have lent money to over the years have yet to pay me back. We are simply too trusting and gullible for our own good sometimes....

#1 and #2 were ex-bfs. #2 was the most expensive by a LOT, because it was partial support for an overseas uni education. He never came back to Singapore. #3 was almost exactly a year ago.

Actually I'm more upset with myself for continuing to be too gullible, and maybe thinking too much with the small head between my legs.

You might know #1, particularly if you've been a member at Cali Orchard. But he's redeemed himself many times over. You won't know #2. And you almost certainly know #3. Someone else posted about him recently. :P

Thanks for your concern. If you are referring to the recent minor fuss, the value lost is actually of little consequence because I had already mentally written it off. I wasn't going to do anything about it until I got ticked off over what I found out through background checks. Doing homework in this community is not difficult -- condemnation is swift, and memories are long. So if you want to do something bad then you'd better make sure that you really, REALLY, don't give a rat's ass about what other people think of you ( ... )

Sigh. On reading what I wrote I realise that it comes across as somewhat patronising. So, just for the record, it wasn't meant to be.
