I watch the world shimmer
inside this globe of a summer night,
listen to the wobble of her
spin and dive. It happens all the time, waiting for you
to come home.
-from "Summer Night" by Joy Harjo
-personal significance: debatable
Tomorrow (technically today) is the last day of vacation. That blows x a million. I really really don't want to go back to school. I have physics first on Monday, so that's not too good. I also have play production for 80 minutes. That class makes me miserable...sometimes. I'm sure that when I go back to school, all the "optional" homework I didn't do will come back to bite me in the arse. Like, you know that chapter you were supposed to look over during vacation? Problem set due tomorrow! Shit.
Crap I have to do tomorrow (partially to remind myself, and partially in case anyone cares)
-finish Canterbury Tales-ish prologue (I started it tonight, and I'll probably do a little more before I go to bed)
-finish Jane Eyre (I have about...sixty pages left. Not bad. Considering the fact that I had about 360 at the beginning of vacation.)
-at least look over Chapter 7 in chem book so that "Problem set due tomorrow!" scenario would not completely faze me.
-practice for voice lesson, since I haven't looked at my music in about a week and a half
-teach my brother how to do Calculus homework (I gave him a Calc worksheet as a stocking stuffer and I'm going to make him do it. Great idea, right?)
-attempt to take "copious notes" on Jane Eyre after I finally finish it (I don't like taking notes while I read. So there.)
-Write some stuff (possibly scenes) for play production, because that's probably the only way I'll actually get a say in the whole shebang. Do I want to do a satire involving television and a vending machine? No. Does anyone care? No. Do I look fat in this dress? NO.
-Look over music for the Greenroom Night thing.
-I'm signed up for an audition for Junior Varieties on Tuesday. Haha, that's funny.
-Probably other stuff I'm forgetting.
-Tomorrow is going to be a long day.
-Good night.
