Well, I made it to the interview. I answered all of the questions, although I'll admit, a few I really couldn't answer too well -- I only know so much about teaching from actually being taught. If anything didn't get me this job, it would be a lack of teaching experience. I gave good, honest answers to all of the other questions -- although I was drifting into college language for more than a few. In the end though, one really can't know what to expect. And I always forget what I say in interviews when they are complete.
If I don't get the job I can at least be happy that I gave it my best. And if I get it, I'm going to have to get my mind working on some really fun activities to get the children interested in and learning Japanese. I'd have twenty to forty minutes per grade, and I'd be working with kindergarteners up to sixth grade.
Well...I'll worry about it if I actually get the job. Going from college to elementary is going to be one of the most difficult things for me.
