Wow, I already got a call from Kohls. They're willing to interview me tomorrow at 10 AM. That's incredibly cool considering that it took me several months to get something earlier this year. The pay is better and I won't have to clerk which is a huge plus. The hours are ideal for me too. The only downside is that it's temporary, but that's fine with me.
I've spent over 220 hours playing Star Ocean Till the End of Time -- and this was even during the time I had my job. This game blows Tales of Symphonia out of the water (and before this game, I though Tales of Symphonia blew everything else out of the water). The only game I've played that comes even close to this amount of playtime is Dragon Quest VII at around 143 hours. Star Ocean is THE game for PS2 RPG lovers to get. The game takes a good sixty hours to complete if you're thorough, the aftergame can take anywhere from 40 to 100 hours. If you're a maniac like I am and you just have to get all of the Battle Trophies, this game's first play through will top 150 hours. That's not even counting the two higher difficulty modes with trophies of their own. The storyline and setting blend medievil themes to a futuristic setting -- Lord of the Rings meets Star Wars meets The Matrix. The battle system is complexly action oriented. In fact, if somebody seen the battle system, they wouldn't even think this game is an RPG. It's even more action oriented than Symphonia. But there's also item creation to customize your equipment and create tons of items to meet special conditions. The soundtrack is just unbelievable. It's a mix of orchestral, electronic, rock, and even a hip hop track for some bosses. The Graphics in this game are the best I have ever seen on the PS2. Better than FF X, X-2, and even better than Xenosaga. You enter a battle and special skills just start flying like crazy. It's a huge lightshow of lasers, martial arts, and explosive symbology skills. It'll really only appeal to hardcore RPG players like myself, but this game has completely dethroned Final Fantasy in my book. Considering this game has been delayed for years, the final product was well worth the wait.
