I went to an ale house I use to frequent...

My computer is being all wonky. I think I'm going to salvage what I can and then reformat it. Computers are such a pain in the ass; I always have problems with them but at this point living without one doesn't seek like an option.

Devon and I went to Kristian's last night to watch some movies. Kristian had Lord of the Flies rented and we picked up Audition to watch when he brought it back. I saw Lord of the Flies back in high school but it was nice seeing it again - even if it was just to make countless Piggy and pedderass jokes. I think I need to give the book another read when I finish the book of revelations.

As I expected, Audition was pretty wacked-out, but I still liked it. The pace was a lot slower than Ichi the Killer and The Happiness of the Katakuris but it still paid off in the end. I really like Takashi Miike; his movies always have an impact on me. The ultra-violence in Ichi the Killer was stylish and creative, the overall concept and execution of The Happiness of the Katakuris was off the wall (I'm willing to say it was the most fun movie I saw last year), and Audition had a nice surreal creapyness to it. I will continue to check out more of his stuff and am willing to throw down some cold hard cash for his flicks.

I have to get Videodrome and The Brood from Devon. I've been waiting to see The Brood for about a year now and I passed out last time I had the chance to watch Videodrome. All I remember about Videodrome is waking up somewhere between the states of drunkenness and sleep, and saying “wooo, that guy has, like, a vagina in his stomach”. I even missed the hot hot Debbie Harry action. Boooo…

Anyhow, I went for a job this morning; I'm so fucking out of shape. I thought I was going to die. Then my dad picked me up and we went to Mustang Sally's for a bite to eat and checked out Second Page. I found a nice used copy of Dubliners which I've been waiting to check out for some time now. I need to go to a Christian's and read some of it over a pack of cigs and a couple of pints. Yeah, too bad I'm poor.

Possie out
