reminscent of summer days with herbal remedies

The gravel road.
I trip over the pebbles &
Not the stones.
The snails watch as I split my skull &
Bleed to death.
Then, as I grasp for my last breath,
Along comes the butterfly.
Beautiful. Graceful.
It’s colors remind me of the umbrella I have at home.
He rescues me &
Helps me up, and,
Unknown to the world,
I realize the pebble is no pebble,
But instead a head.
A large head,
With a loving face & sharp teeth.
It’s arms reach from his eyeballs
& stretch for my leg.
It catches me before I have time to
M
o v
e
it bites me & my legs feel numb,
I lose my vision.
And I feel the silk wings
Of the butterfly on my hands.
A cool sensation makes my spine tingle and I lose
All feeling down through my back.
But I still feel the butterfly,
Its beauty too captivating to release.
He helps me up again & lifts me to the
Sky.
I enter.
