Seconds or Forever
Jaejoong&Yoochun. PG-13. 696w.
The never-ending and arduous will to add more time in a day is only impossible for mortals.
There are 86,400 seconds in a day.
Wasting away these precious seconds, Jaejoong lays still in the warm sand. Yoochun's fingers dances over his chest, gently tracing over the reflections of the setting sun glimmering from the sparkling waters. By second 70,200 the warm glow of the sun disappears behind the horizon giving the moon center stage. The calm waves of the night become their personal symphony as the soft glow of moonlight waltzes over their bodies.
Jaejoong’s umber gaze never strays far from Yoochun’s face, luminescent under the brilliance of the waning moon, or his lips, guilty of concealing a pair of razor-sharp fangs. A wish for more time floats lazily on the tip of his tongue. More time is always a fickle matter.
Yoochun knows that he is able to give them more time, but it was selfish.
Jaejoong never fails to forget his request for forever. He wants to stop counting away the seconds, the minutes, and the days. He wants to know that counting is useless and that they will have as many seconds as the please together.
"I know," Yoochun whispers beneath his breathe as he settles down on his side in the now cool sand, continuing to lazily graze Jaejoong's bare upper body with his cold fingers. Jaejoong is use to one-sided conversations; it saves him the trouble of finding the right words. He is grateful that Yoochun is able to delve into his mind.
You promised me forever.
"Forever is a curse."
Knowing that one day time will decide to leave me is a worse curse. Jaejoong sat up.
"Do you want more time or forever?"
Sighing, Jaejoong looked over at the dark ocean, the edges of the waves rimmed with foam, "Don't they go hand in hand? Kill two birds with one stone to give forever you're giving all the time in the world and them some." You still promised.
Yoochun stays silent, exploring the possibilities. What could change? He runs his tongue, carefully, over his fangs, trying to ignore the stabbing ache and need for blood, for Jaejoong. He silently wishes that Jaejoong will change his mind, so Yoochun won’t have the choice of being selfish. He knows what Jaejoong will have to deal with, what obstacles he must face. But then again, having Jaejoong for the rest of eternity…
“Yoochun. Please.” Jaejoong was now hovering over the vampire, his longer blonde hair sweeping around his face, the faint smell of minty shampoo filled Yoochun’s nose. He movesdown lower, Yoochun feels Jaejoong’s warm breath ghost over his face. “Give me forever.” Stop wasting the seconds.
Yoochun arches his back and tilts his chin up, reveling in the softness of Jaejoong’s lips. Cautiously, Yoochun keeps the kiss chaste and his throbbing fangs trapped behind closed lips. Jaejoong has a different idea; he presses down harder, flattening Yoochun back down onto the sand. Unable to keep his defenses up Yoochun’s lips part which allowed Jaejoong to run a teasing tongue over his lower lip, causing the vampire to moan and part his lips even further. Yoochun came to a conclusion that being selfish was inevitable. He lost himself under Jaejoong’s ministrations, feeling supple lips move down his neck to his chest followed by the flutter of eyelashes.
A growl tore its way through Yoochun’s throat, and the vampire swears that he can feel Jaejoong’s lips form into a satisfied smirk. Using his elbows to push himself up, Yoochun reaches around and runs his hands through Jaejoong’s hair, leading the lips back to his.
Then it’s too late, Yoochun panics when he is hit with the unmistakable metallic scent of blood, and then he tastes it. His eyes glaze over and he keeps his promise to Jaejoong. His only regret is that he wasn’t able to control himself longer. The next thing he can remember is a muffled grunt and seeing red as his teeth sink into the pale flesh where Jaejoong’s shoulder meets his neck. He remembers salving the warm and familiar taste, only this time it is mixed with a sweetness he is unable to explain.
We don’t ever have to worry about counting seconds again.
