I believe that most of us live in fear and we let opportunities go thinking we'll get another chance. We live in shells and decide against taking risks and letting ourselves be vulnerable so that we don't get hurt. We always stop and think about the bad and what can go wrong instead of focusing on the good and on how it will make your life better. I was thinking the other day and i realized that we've been living like we've always got a second chance and that if you pass up an opportunity now another one will come up. With the recent deaths of Laura Wolf and of Tim Gibson, neither of which i got to meet, i see how upset many people have become, and i realized that we won't always have a second chance and we never know when something may happen to any one of us. We need to live life in the now and live every moment like it's the last, because it very well may be. I know i've done many things i've regretted, but i've learned from them. I've also not done many things that i would have liked to but feared doing so, and i regret not putting myself out there and letting myself be vulnerable. I think that we all need to stop and think about our lives and see how much you've really missed out on because you were too afraid of what your friends might think, or too busy being afraid of getting hurt. There is no joy without the pain. We all need to live in the moment, live in the now. We need to get out there and put our fears aside and just do what we want. It's soo important that we realize that we won't live for ever, and we need to appreciate the ones we love and make sure they know how much they are appreciated. We need to set aside petty differences with friends and realize that something may happen to this person before you get the chance to apologize. If we do this we'll be much better off as individuals and as a society. Even if only one person is affected by this entry then it was worth stating my opinion.
