Concert/Last day of school
So my first concert of my high school career was last night. I think we did awesome in band, and it was cool because i got to lead everyone in to the concert. We played our pieces, and i think we sounded really good. Then i went and put my Tuba away in the band room, and Rich and I headed back to the cafetorium to set up the risers for the chorus. We set up the risers and headed into the Little theatre to warm up and wait for Mr. Dougal to come in and tell us to start walkin to the Cafe. We did all three pieces, we didn't sound too bad, and i at least got my part right. Then we filed off and RJ and I went to the Little Theatre so he could get all his hugs from every1. Then we headed to the Cafe to listen to the select and the Jazz band. The Select did alright, not as good as i expected though. The only guy you could really hear was Adam, unless Andrew was singing, then you could hear him 2. So RJ, Mike Russel and I all slowly started headin toward the stage to help take off the risers. We stuck around by the Select after the risers were down and we listened to the Jazz Band. The Jazz Band did awesome, and it was really cool. Then the concert was over and RJ, Mike, and I broke down all the risers, we took care of the sound stuff, and we took all of it back to 129. Then i hung out for a little and said goodbye to everyone and Manda brought me home.
Today we had Chorus, where we watched the tape of last night's concert, all except Mike, Bryan, RJ and I. We all had to take the sound equipment from 129 into the music storage closet. Bryce and I had to climb on top of the stage extensions to get the sousaphones up there. Then we headed back into Chorus and watched the last 2 songs of the Select. Then this kid Brandon, who's mentally disabled, got his guitar and played and sang for us, and Rich and I decided that we quit Chorus because Brandon just blew every guy out of the water with his voice. Then i got snuffled by Liz, and that was weird. Then i had study, where i hung out with Bill Godfrey for the 1st half, and then i went to the Library to finish my Spanish project with my group. Then we went to spanish and presented our projects, and then we had our party. Then i went to lunch and not much happened there. Then i went to the Jazz Quartet, which was really good but i almost fell asleep cuz i think i'm sick. Now it's 12:27, and it's Christmas Eve now. I took a nap when i got home from school cuz i was sooo tired. Now i need to go to bed cuz i have to clean tomorrow.
