[Daisuke apparently has a cellphone by the twelfth volume of the manga. It's one of the late 1990s proto-flip phones, rather ahead of its time. It even has a little screen that lights up though it's not LCD. It's black and sleek, and though he keeps wanting to put a cute keychain on it, Dark keeps tearing them off "by accident". Mostly because Dark the Phantom Thief doesn't have a soft spot for My Neighbor Totoro.
Only a few people ought to know his personal number. Regardless, here is the voicemail:]
Um, you've reached Niwa Daisuke! I'm not here right now. I'm probably sleeping or I broke my charger... again. I'll get back to you when I can. Please leave a messa- [A sudden crashing noise is recorded, and a feminine "oops!"] Towa-chan, that was-!! [The message cuts out and is followed by a long message beep.]
