I'm in class right now and THANK GOD we came to the lovely Booth Library to do something... so I'm updating this.
This class is AWFUL. I got a waver saying I could take a senior seminar class in my minor area... I didn't end up getting into a senior sem that I wanted because it was over booked or some lame thing like that that eastern does... anyway, so the only one I could find that fit with my summer and I could take before student teaching (which you need to) was Spaceship Earth, a geology class. So anyway, I got the waver and signed up for the class and here I am.
Jesus, it's terrible. Last night was four hours of freaking plate tectonics, pangea, etc. and mid ocean ridges, and faults and blah. Not anything new or exciting... in fact it was all stuff I've been very familiar with for a while now. I was so bored. And he really didn't ask if anyone would contribute with their own knowlegde, it was more just him lecturing and me trying not to die of boredom. Anyway, I've been in class since 8am today, it's 2pm, and I am done at 6pm... shoot me now please.
ANyway, yesterday before class Mike and I moved some stuff into his new apartment for next year. It made me really realize I'm not coming back next year and it made me sad. I think after 4 years here I can truly say that I will miss Charleston a lot.
My mom paid for a hotel room for he and I to stay in while we are here... she actually encouraged him to come so I wasn't staying in it alone... sweet. So we're staying at the Varsity Inn since I'm a cheap ass and it's only $70 for two nights. It's actually really nice. Maybe I only think that cause I thought it was going to be a dump, but hey, a king size bed, TV with cable, refridgerator, bathroom, shower/bath, air conditioning and it's CLEAN. What more could you need? So I'll be staying there the next three weekends for this damn class.
Anyway, I guess I can start paying attention to Jorstadt or however the hell you spell his name. Most people just know him as Bob. If you ever took Intro to earth Science at Eastern, he sometimes teaches it.
