Humane wool for sale

Apr 23, 2007 16:48

Let me say first that I am not going to start selling wool. Nope, absolutely not. This is a one shot deal. I happen to have some wool that I don't like as much as some other wool I have, and so I'd like to sell it to someone that will like it lots. It's actually kind of strange. There seems to be no difference in the wool, except to me, and only when I'm spinning it. Both bill and I have looked, peered, rubbed, etc and can find no discernible difference, however when I spin it, it feels different to me (but not to anyone else). And my mom just bought me a whole load of wonderful new wool, so...I'm selling the 10 lbs of the old stuff, if anyone wants it, check out the listing in the shop.

It's from a small, humane, no-kill farm. I bought it raw, had it washed and processed into top, so that's the state it's in now. It's undyed, creamy in color, mid-grade softness with a nice sheen, I could use it for next to skin, but someone more sensitive, maybe not. When I spin hat kits, I don't use it around the face. It's been a while here so I can't tell you the sheep's name anymore but the breed was corriedale. It's really quite nice, it's just that it and I don't see eye to eye. I'm selling it cheaper than the cost of the wool and processing cost me because I'd rather it get spun that just sit around my studio and mope.

I've got 10 lbs.
8oz for $12.00
1lb for $20.00
5 lb for $90.00
all 10 lb for $160.00
