Flashback: May 2011
I can’t believe May flew by so quickly! It’s June already starting tomorrow and two weeks later, I’ll be going back to University for a new academic year. A lot has happened to me this May so let me begin to enumerate most of them:
Real-Life:
- End of my internship last May 3
- A weekend getaway in Baguio City last May 20-23 (I’ll be making a separate post for this! The picture I used above is from one of the pictures I’ve taken during our trip.)
Movies:
- Something Borrowed - Haven’t read the book yet but I didn’t like the movie that much. John Krasinski’s character, Ethan, was the only thing I liked in this movie.
- Waiting For Forever - It was okay.
- The Lives of Others (Das Leben der Anderen) - A really good German film!
- Fast Five - Saw this in the bus when we were on our way to Baguio City. Not really my kind of movie.
- The Illusionist (2010) - A beautiful animated film and I couldn’t help but be mesmerized with the hand-drawn animation.
- Kung Fu Panda 2 - I really thought this sequel was really funny! My sister and I quite enjoyed ourselves and little Po is simply adorable! The ending suggested though that there might be a sequel. I don’t know what to think about that yet.
Music:
- Born This Way by Lady GaGa (Album) - I love Lady GaGa but I’m one of those who didn’t like the album cover that much. However, I did like the album even if I still liked The Fame Monster way more. Some of the tracks became instant favorites but some of them still need to grow on me. Favorite tracks: Hair, Marry The Night, The Edge of Glory, Yoü and I
- Till The World Ends by Britney Spears (Song) - Talk about my Last Song Syndrome (LSS) for several days this month. I blame my dad for he got so addicted to it and kept on playing it over and over. Then again, it does have a nice beat.
- A mix and match of other songs by different musicians such as Architecture in Helsinki, Sara Bareilles, Muse, Lenka, Snow Patrol, She & Him, Eisley, etc.
TV:
- Season 3 finale of Fringe - I know I’m still working on a separate post for this. I know I’m so late and I’m so sorry! I’ve only made graphics until Episode 12 so far. I still have to work on the remaining 10!
- Freaks & Geeks - I just started watching this show and it’s awesome! :D
- Judging by these 2 shows, my TV life is obviously boring. I’ve downloaded Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Castle and Lost so that should keep me occupied in the next few months. I also need to marathon Modern Family Season 2 and finish Community Seasons 1 & 2.
