ok so i was sittin in pollacks human relations class on friday. and we were talkin bout morals in society, single issue voters, etc etc. and the issue of gay marriage of course came up. turns out that there may be an amendment on the ballot which makes gay marriage, at the least, illegal in ohio. so i talked to sekicky bout it, and i talked to marta bout it. they both think its still an iffy thing. but i dont kno, im really worried. our governor and lt governor r both republicans, and the ohio senate is currently republican, but ohio voters r actually split evenly or there abouts btwn democrat and republican. however if this does go on the ballot, which i think it will, in the past ohio democrats have been known to either not show up at the polls, or if they do they vote it leans more toward the conservative side. and bush is a strong opponent to gay marriage, proposin an amendment to the constitution. and kerry has not made his views as clear as wat i would like, i believe his stand is choice, but if it were to come down to it im afraid he would vote more conservatively. so i dont kno, im just writin out the odds of all of this. as the days go past im becomin more and more worried bout nov. 2. itll be a scary day i think.
