So I'm all moved into the apartment now. Ugh, what a day it was! We didn't get started with the move until almost 6. Dad didn't get here until around 3, and then we had to go out to Burlington to pick up a recliner that a woman sold to me for $35. It's a NICE recliner, too! It even rocks. I expect to be doing a lot of sleeping in that thing. Jason just laid there on the couch and watched us hauling heavy shit. Some help would've been nice. Then Adam came over after work, and helped us lug the recliner, my two beureaus, my mattress, and the box spring dad bought me, and my desk downstairs. The desk was the biggest bitch. Took us a good ten minutes, and all four of us (Jason's friend, who was house-sitting helped us) to get it downstairs. We finally finished around 8:30ish, and then went to Friendlys for dinner. Got back to Adam's around 10 (I decided to crash there one more night, since it was easier transportation wise), and we were all out cold by midnight. I'm hoping to get my computer and tv up and running today, though I guess that depends on whether or not Jason is around to help. He came in from Canada yesterday afternoon, stayed for a few hours, then headed off to Maine. Must be nice to have the money to do that comfortably.

Today is food shopping and laundry day. Adam said he would come over and help me with my computer. We got my tv plugged in, but so far, it's all static. I'm not sure if that means that Jason doesn't have the apartment wired for cable yet, or whether it means that tv is a piece of junk, even though it was only used for about a month while I was down in NC, and has been sitting in the trunk of my car, unused ever since. I'm hoping it's the first of the two. I'd be thrilled if I could get my internet and tv working by tonight. The next obstacle will be the phone, which is going to be a bit more tricky, since I still owe the phone company money from when I was living in Huntington. I'm just glad that the moving part of it is done. It was definitely a work-out.

Still feels weird to me, the whole apartment thing. It shouldn't, since I lived in the apartment in NC for two months, basically alone, but in this place I will be COMPLETELY alone. No room-mates (thank the gods!). Jason lives upstairs, but I have total privacy. I get the feeling he isn't around much anyway. It really is a cute little place. Just needs some drapes, and maybe, eventually a coffee table or something. It'll be nice to be able to eat when it's convenient for ME, and have people over whenever I want (Jason said I can have guests over for 3 days without telling him. Any longer than that, and he just wants notice, which is fair I think.). It sucks that I can't have a cat, but I have plenty of time. I have a washer and drier right outside my door, so no need for laundromats (Yaaay!), and the bathroom just needs a drape over the little window, since it basically looks right into the shower. That's a no-no. I guess the idea of the apartment hasn't really completely settled in for me yet.

Bleh. Still tired, though, which hopefully means I will sleep well tonight--- finally in a bed! Wooohoo!
