of 50cents ice kopi
it is barely a week since school closed last thursday. no more tests and assignment. no more waking up at err an unearthly hour of 6 for 830 morning classes. no more crazy drivers and endless PIE traffic jams.
but for some weird reason, i do miss school. i miss the canteen. the 50 cents cup of ice kopi. i miss the quiet comfort of the library. i miss being at school at dusk when the last vestige of the sun dies down into the canopy of trees below. i miss the people in school. i miss the sense of familiarity and warmness where eventhough how much you're bogged down by schoolwork, there is always time for a smile and some laughs.
i may be jumping the gun here and would soon be hoping for an extension of the holidays, but for now let it be known that i do miss school. i can't wait for the new semester.
