vini
Vini passed away this morning. she just turned 12 on Father's day.
she had been very sick for the past few days. numerous trips to the vet did not prove to be successful. we sent her to the animal hospital yesterday evening. the kind vet told us that Vini had something akin to dengue.
Vini was one of the 3 lil kitties that Mummy Bijan bore one day in June 1994. Vini is short for vinegar (she has a lil V on her head).very affectionate, she would come over to us whenever we called. with her high pitched meows, she made her presence felt by always snuggling up close to another cat and demanding to be groomed. although she's quite a sickly cat, with bad bouts of sinus infections, she was always amusing us with her antics with the other cats. she had a shadow named Ronnie, one of our adopted longkang cats. he'd follow her around all day. not too close in case Vini hisses at him and not too distant to his watchful eyes.
today, Ronnie is still searching for his Vini. my heart breaks at the sight of this.
i also remembered that every morning, Vini would sit in front of papa's prayer mat, while papa reads the yasin after subuh. papa would stroke her body while she sits content.
at noon today, she was buried near papa's work place. the place is quiet and people would not disturb her sleep.
rest well my love. may you find your brother in kitty heaven. send our regards to him if you do. tell him that he's always on our minds and we miss him a lot. and the same would go to you as well Vini. the house seems quiet without you around.
i pray that we'll meet each other soon love.
