Take the bad with the good

Well, last night we had a craptacular turnout number wise. Thankfully my most loyal fans and even someone who had never been given the chance to come up made it. Was good to see at least some people got to enjoy it.

Add to this, this was the first night that the manager I deal with (Ursula) has been there. She missed the last couple do to various things. So when normally we have 30+ people, last night we had 10...including the super supportive other halves of the DJ's. (Who rock by the way, couldn't ask for better support)

So seeing this the manager was VERY reluctant to give me a firm answer about doing a Saturday. Add to that her car got hit earlier that day. Not good timing, at all. So as of now, that is the end of the Martini Room for the near future. Do not know what will happen eventually but last night did not help my DJ future there.

I said there was good and there is.

Since no one was there I got to play a playlist that shows the versatility of my style. I did not get to play half of the songs I had wanted, but I did play a really good mix with (I think) a really good flow to them. This should be posted later today or tomorrow for you all to listen to.

So yeah, today I am kind of bummed, and last night I was a little annoyed. More to the managers reactions than anything else.

A special shout out to DJ Mark...oh sorry, "The Gloriously Retro-Futuristic Sounds of Dr. Thaddeus "Corky" Corkenburger and His All Narcoleptic Monkey Orchestra", heheh. For his public debut as a DJ. You were great.

He did a fantastic job and was a great help being there. I look forward to DJing with him more in the future.

So a big thank you to those that showed and I hope we can do it again!

And as always, thanks to the lovely Kara who puts up with this hobby that I do. :)
