Zombie produce

2009 continues to be the year of the zombie.  My new activity in quiet moments at work is to email zombie references in the news and pop culture back and forth with co-workers.
Three of us have failed to find directions to make an origami zombie OR an origami brain for a program we're having and when I asked an origami expert,  I was told I was a 'very sick little woman...' \o/

I took a three day weekend this past time around with some of my approved-for-curling leave.  Said curling didn't happen, but I went up to visitwildmachinery  on Friday to watch Merlin before league in the evening.  I went home with an assignment to look up when potatoes were introduced to the Old World (andwildmachinery , it wasn't until the 1550s for Spain and not before 1590s for the British isles.  Tomatoes came over from the New World in that time frame too. )  Poor Merlin -- getting smacked upside the head with historical inaccuracies.  Must hurt.

The show's incredibly cheesy , but disgustingly cute and it has Giles in it!  OK, not really Giles, but close enough.

Last weekend was the martini party, which was a lot of fun and I got to see quite a few people I hadn't in a while.  The rest of the weekend was great also, but in an entirely different way -- leaving the house only to obtain food for birds & peeples and equipment for nefarious tea and cookie making purposes.  I might repeat that.

weekends, zombies, wwr
