Holidays & Observances: Election Day

Prologue: I have been meaning to write a series about Holidays and Observances that we (my family and friends) follow in both India (my birth country) and USA (my adopted country). This series is dedicated to those. On a side note, perhaps I might witness some of the celebrations from other countries as well that may get their way into this series. :)
Not a traditional holiday per se. This is annual day for general elections of federal public officials in United States and occurs on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November, and this year it was on Nov 7th (2023). In many states this is a holiday, but most of the rest have it as optional holiday. I hope you went out and did your part by voting. I did mine! Every single vote matters and counts.
