Magic In Tunes: 12/30/2015 - Kothaku Epudu Swagatam Paataku Vandanam
The countdown to 2016 started. So did the closure to my song-a-day blog theme for 2015. Keeping with the mood, here is the second of the three songs that were going to be part of my closing posts.
From the 1982 hit Telugu film Manchu Pallaki ( = Snow Palanquin), this lovely melody was Sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and S. Janaki. Interesting to see younger versions of Rajendra Prasad and Narayana Rao in this movie who played pivotal roles along with the lead actors Chiranjeevi and Suhasini. Music composed by Rajan-Nagendra and Lyrics penned by Gopi. The song depicts not only welcoming new year but also new beginnings in their lives towards betterment and prosperity.
