Strange Oddities and Peculiar Pretties: Rest In Peace, Mr. President

Jimmy Carter was the first president's name I had heard when I was growing up in India. Later on others came to my knowledge. It was sad to see him go to the pearly gates, but he lived to be a 100. So many changes he must have seen in his lifetime. When he fell sick earlier in 2024, he had told everyone that he wanted to vote in November and so he has to live. Guess his wish came true since he left us on Dec 29 2024.
President Biden along with a plethora of members from Carter family and friends had given their eulogies. What struck me most was the eulogy by Gerald Ford's son who read the eulogy that Mr. Carter and Mr. Ford wrote eulogies for each other some 20 yrs ago. Mr. Carter read for Mr. Ford in 2006 when he passed away on Dec 23 2006. Now his son delivered what he had written for Mr. Carter.
We got to see five presidents in the same room for this event - three former, one sitting and one future. When there was a comment about two presidents cannot be in the same room, Mr. Douglas Emhoff, the second gentleman (Vice President Kamala Harris' husband) looked around and there was a chuckle from everyone.
And the entire Carter family who attended the services.
