Diaries: Jaipur Day 1 - City Palace - Sheesh Mahal

Prologue: A fun series that documents my travels.
Continuing the sights of City Palace of Jaipur in the State of Rajasthan, India. Next up is Sheesh Mahal. One of the floors in Chandra Mahal is covered in intricate mirror work. The patterns are set such a way that in the nights when the laps were lit, the mirrors would reflect heat and light warming the room as well as giving the roof an astronomical view of sky.

We were told to sit in a chair in one of the rooms, and the guide took our pictures reflecting through a mirror in the opposite wall. Pretty cool.
