Prologue: Inspired by the 2021 Hallmark romantic movie Chasing Waterfalls started my own blog, featuring the local waterfalls in the State of Connecticut where I live, and also may be any waterfalls that I might come across in my trips around America and the World. The film was released in July 2021, as part of their "Spring Fling" lineup. The lead actress, Cindy Busby, as Amy Atwater, a photo journalist, goes to a remote town to find a mythical waterfall. Her co-star Christopher Russell, as Mark North is her guide on this enchanted trip.

Now I am chasing these majestic and gorgeous waterfalls. Next up is the Lake Whitney Dam that flows into a long wall of waterfall.

At the base of East Rock Mountain in New Haven, Connecticut, the Lake Whitney has a dam constructed primarily to funnel the water into Eli Whitney Jr.'s Armory that he had built in 1805. He constructed this dam in 1862 that flowed into the Mill River. This also established a modern water system to quench of thirst New Haven was facing during 1850 - 1860.

The dam flows in the form of a 38 ft waterfall giving it a wall of water adding the charm to the area surrounding and also home to numerous water fauna and flora.
