An older friend that I used to babysit for sent me a Christmas card today. Inside, she and her children had put together a "newsletter" type thing to brief everyone on the past year's happenings.
The part that really touched me was at the end....she closed it by saying:
"Your tree lights come with a safety percaution. Plugging more than three light strands end-on-end can short the fuse. Don't plug too many activities into your life that you short out your own fuse"
Sometimes we get so busy with the hustle and bustle of everyday life that we don't don't make time to take a step back and enjoy the more simple things around us.
I hope everyone enjoys the holidays and gets the chance to spend time with the people that they love. I will be with Mike and quite honestly, there's no other place I'd rather be.
