Summary: A dinner party ends abruptly when the host ends up dead following his soup course and the other guests begin dropping like flies. Will Severus and Hermione be able to solve the case before they become the next untimely victims?
Original Prompt: 1) Non-canon: It’s x, in the library with the candlestick. Hermione and Snape find themselves stuck racing around the castle in a Clue-esque (or Cluedo-esque, if you’re a Brit!) style murder-mystery. Romance and drama ensue. Who killed y? (You may supply x and y, and while it would be a bit pointless if Hermione or Snape were x, it’s fine to have one of them be y if you’d like!)
Author’s Notes: Thanks to lesemma for the beta. This round of the exchange requested one-shots, so the fic is a bit shorter than I think it needs. I am working on an five chapter expanded version, which will be the one I eventually post to various archives.
