Author's Notes: I quite like where this went... after I finally got the time to play with the idea...
Living with Gwaine was nowhere near the joy he thought it would be. The first couple of weeks were relatively blissful and then reality set in.
Gwaine had stuff everywhere. When he got home, he dumped his keys and wallet on the dining table before heading to their bedroom to change, where he would proceed to throw his dirty clothes across the floor. He had let it go for the first couple of times, picking the mess up himself because Gwaine had been quite tired after working back late. But now it was becoming a habit and getting on his nerves. He had to say something.
“Can you not do that?”
“Do what?” Gwaine asked as he discarded his shirt.
“That. Throw your dirty clothes on the floor.”
“Why not?”
“Because you just leave them there and then I have to come along, pick them up and wash them.”
“You don’t have to…” Gwaine started, but stopped when he was given a stern look. “Alright, alright.” Gwaine picked up the shirt, socks and all of yesterday’s clothes and sauntered down the hall and into the laundry, where he proceeded to dump them in washing basket.
Gwaine turned to see that his partner had followed him and was watching with a large smirk on his face. “Happy?”
“Mostly.”
“Now what?” Gwaine whined.
“Would it hurt you to do a load every now and then?”
Gwaine thought about it for a few seconds before grabbing the clothes he had just tossed in the washing basket and starting throwing them into the washing machine, grumbling something under his breath as he did.
As he put the next lot of clothes into the machine, there came the distinctive sound of a photo being taken on a phone. Gwaine looked up to find the phone in his partner’s hands and heard a second photo being taken.
“Why are you taking photos?”
“Because your friends told me getting you to do housework would be impossible.”
“Did they now?”
“Yeah, they did. So I want proof. Plus, you look rather sexy.”
“Really…” Gwaine said as he moved towards his partner.
“Nah ah,” his partner waved him back. “You’re not getting out of it that easy.”
