It was late on Saturday morning. Morgana was about the go out for her weekend walk with Gwen and leave her annoying, smartarse of a little brother, Arthur, to defend for himself for a while. She found him lounging on his bed reading a sports magazine. She cleared her throat to announce her presence. He looked up and gave her a big grin.
"I'm going out for my walk," Morgana said attempting to be civil.
"Okay," was all he said in reply and went back to reading his magazine (or was he just looking at pictures?).
"Don't you have anything better to do?" she asked, not being able to help herself.
"What's wrong with relaxing? I had a hard week at work," he said, not bothering to look up this time.
She shook her head at the fact he thought he worked hard and left him to it.
She met up with Gwen on the usual corner and they started their walk through the quiet suburban streets. It was in the middle of the walk when it started.
Morgana's vision of the alley way swirled. It disoriented her and she stopped just before a cushioned bench next to someone's back entrance. The image of a tall, slender male formed in front of her.
He stood behind the cushioned bench, with his hands in his pockets. He was dressed all in black. Skinny black jeans with a chain hanging from the guy's right hand pocket. A fitted black tee with a large dark print on it she couldn't quite make out. Even his hair was black. He also wore thick black leather cuffs on his wrists and the expression on his face didn't look entirely friendly. It was stern and questioning at the same time.
Morgana had no idea the guy was or why he was in her vision. Then her vision shifted and an image of Arthur was at her feet. He sat, one leg stretched out and the other knee up with his arm resting on it, showing off the watch their father had given him for his last birthday. His other arm was holding his weight as he leaned back on it, showing off his body like a model would.
Her younger brother was wearing a casual long sleeve shirt, sleeves pushed up just past his elbows, with a pair of faded jeans. The outfit was something he would usually wear on a night out apart from the fact there was none of his usual colour. His jeans and shirt were both black. She had to admit, it did make his golden blonde hair stand out that little bit more.
But they both looked out of place with the bright pale yellow of the painted brick walls to the alley and green plants with various coloured flowers, which had been the first things to swirl and distort in her vision.
What did it mean?
Morgana could hear the whisper of frantic words, but she was focused on her brother and the strange man. Why was she being shown them? Together, they looked like they were up to no good. Wait... together... the black! Oh no!
"Morgana!" The forceful tug on her arm made the guys disappear so all she saw in front of her was the bench and the rest of the alley. "Morgana, answer me," Gwen pleaded.
"Answer what?" she asked.
"Thank goodness. For a second there I thought you were having another one of your visions."
Morgana smiled brightly at her best friend. Gwen had been with her a few times before when her visions had struck. Usually they played out like a movie, so they took longer and were easier to pick. This had just been an image, quick. She would keep this one to herself for the time being.
"No, just a moment of remembering something I forgot to do last night," she lied. But Gwen accepted her explanation and they continued walking.
