How annoying is that. But I guess it's one of those 'places to see before you die' that you can cross off your list. My Sister's in-laws went several years ago but I don't know what they thought of it. We're not a close-knit family when it comes to the in-laws & related family that way. Plus they're rich so I doubt they did the hostel/back packer thing haha!
I really would love to see pictures of your travels if you want to share this time. I'm afraid of flying so I live vicariously when it comes to travelling.
Yeah, I kinda wish I hadn't bothered though! One of the islands I liked, everything else was sort of meh. To be honest everyone I'd met loved it more than anything, but I don't know if they just say that to justify the cost, haha!
I definitely will post some, probably tomorrow! I'm not afraid of flying but I HATE it. The first leg of my flight back was 13 hours long and I was sat next to a baby who cried THE ENTIRE TIME, I did not sleep for one minute :(
What the hell was wrong with a baby for it to cry that long. I feel bad for you and for everyone else including the baby. I bet his mother was mortified and frustrated.
You do well for someone who hates flying. I wouldn't even get to an airport never mind on a flight! 13hrs is impressive! I bet it's really boring though.
You should go to NZ and take pictures for me *nods*
I did not feel bad for the mum! It was totally her fault. She just let it do whatever it wants. It was running around destroying everything at the airport and did the same on the plane. The kid even tried to pick up and chuck my food at one point...
Ugh no that would be like 25 hours and I would die, it is so boring no matter how many movies you manage to watch! I have thought about NZ actually but its not just yet, next year will either be Japan or somewhere else in Central/South America I think - I finally have enough airmiles that its worth something!
Brazil at carnival! But I think Brazil is a bit dangerous. The formula one teams get carjacked at gunpoint sometimes when they go there. So maybe not, eh? Have you been to Cuba? That sounds fun and my postie went there the other month.
I don't really have an interest in Asia/Japan. The cities look far to hustle and bustle and they probably don't have tourists in the countryside.
I was thinking it was a tiny baby but an uncontrolled toddler type is much worse. With NZ you could have a stopover in Singapore.
Well Ecuador is allegedly incredibly dangerous. And I went to Zimbabwe when it was on the "do not visit under any circumstances" list. I tend to think places that are supposedly dangerous are generally perfectly fine really ;)
I don't have an interest in most of Asia, but I think Japan would be interesting. Places without tourists are generally more interesting though, I didn't bump into many other tourists in Ecuador and it was nice because I had more chance to speak to locals, though it was harder because I had to actively learn Spanish to get around, haha.
